Record Store Day brings us the first release of BIEZEN. A limited 7” vinyl single (only 500 copies of which 150 will be hand-numbered and signed by frontman Erik Van Biesen). The A-side features the single ‘Closer To The End Of Sound’. B-side ‘Too Short A Lifetime’ is a track that Erik describes as “a song about a song.” After 22 years of active duty for Gorki it is also Erik’s salute to Luc De Vos.

Time stood still when Flemish singer and rock icon Luc De Vos passed away in november 2014. His sudden death was not only a schock to everyone who knew Luc and the music of Gorki from Belgium, it was also a great loss for Erik Van Biesen, one of Luc his best friends and the bass player of the Ghent based band since the end of 1992.

But life goes on. Erik’s a seasoned musician who wants to go on and never give up. His new band BIEZEN sounds like a “big dark party with horns”.
