The Queen Is Dead is the third studio album by the Smiths. It was released in 1986. The album was produced by the singer, Morrissey, and the guitarist, Johnny Marr, working predominantly with engineer Stephen Street, who had engineered the Smiths' previous album, Meat Is Murder (1985).
