Doolittle is the second studio album by the American alternative rock band Pixies, released in April 1989. The album is often praised for its "quiet/loud" dynamic, achieved through quite verses based Black's relatively subdued vocals and guitar patterns, which then reach peaks in volume an tone with the addition of crashing parts by lead guitarist Joey Santiago, and emphasis on the rhythm section of bassist Kim Deal and drummer David Lovering.

Doolittle is considered one of the quintessential albums of the 1980s.
