There's no such thing as new Music under the sun. Multi-talented Bob Boon, First Programming Director of Belgian radio BRT and leader of the internationally renowned Bob Boon Singers, joined the Eurovox Music Group for an "experimental" single…which turned out to be a unique challenge to make an album. The Marvellously arranged Beethoven masterpiece "Sonate Pathétique" coupled with Lecuona's million dollar hit "Tabou" proved, that good music cannot be labelled with "old" or "new".
After months of careful programming and intensive meetings with arranger Ronny Sigo, we came to the conclusion that Bach COULD meet Michel Legrand, that Mascagni COULD meet Bouwens (leader of the George Baker Selection). The judicious use of a Moog Synthesiser and Melotron (a.o.) brought me to such good vibrations that I knew the Karma was right: combined with the magnificent voices of the Bob Boon Singers we believe this album is a Garden of Sounds. That's why we launch this LP under Bob's new name: THE BOBBY BEAN SOUND & SINGERS. The old labels—classical, pop, latin and the like—are gone, replaced by the simple straight-forward idea of making Music. With 38 musicians and singers, who share individual and common experiences that include everything from Ars Nova to Bluegrass, how can any other description be adequate.
