Reissue of the third solo album "Suzie Super Groupie" (1976) by Junie Morrison, ex-vocalist and keyboardist of the Ohio Players and as co-composer for Funkadelic (including their uber-classic "One Nation Under A Groove") one of the definitive Godfathers of funk and a major influence for the subsequent generation of musicians from Prince to Rick James, who later released on the leftfield disco label ZE Records and to whom Solange dedicated the song "Junie" in 2016. "Suzie Super Groupie" is a genre-melting tour de force of proto-boogie, funk and jazz, whose brilliant "Suzie Thundertussy" was sampled by Madlib for Kanye West's "No More Parties in LA."
