One of the most exciting singer-songwriters to emerge from Rio de Janeiro in the last fifteen years now lives in Los Angeles, where he is on the verge of an overdue American breakthrough. Before his move, the Latin Grammy-nominated Rogê (pronounced haw-zheh) was the prince of Lapa, the vibrant center of Rio's nightlife.

Charismatic and unkempt, with a distinctive raspy yet boyish voice, Rogê, who was born Roger José Cury, won an enthusiastic following for his swinging samba funk infused with Brazilian soul. His notoriety rose when he co-wrote the theme song for the 2016 Olympics in Brazil. Lavishly produced by Thomas Brenneck of the Budos Band, a top session guitarist and collaborator with the stars (Lady Gaga, Beyoncé & Jay-Z, Amy Winehouse), Curyman will launch Brenneck's new label Diamond West.
