G-Funk Classics, Vol. 1 & 2 is the debut studio album by American singer and rapper Nate Dogg. Vol. 1 of the album was originally released through Death Row Records in January 1997, but was taken off the market a week after its release due to legal problems at Death Row Records. The title speaks for itself, this is G-Funk at it's realest and funkiest. Nate's voice has so much range and diversity and sounds incredible like his cameos in other great songs. On the songs where he has guests here, both him and the guests (Daz Dillinger, Kurupt, Snoop, and 2pac to name a few) are amazing. On the songs where it's just him alone, he dominates the track and gives the delivery some soul even when he's talking about street life.
The music is extremely funky and diverse and the beats are either slammin or inventive
